Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Details about new Nvidia GeForce GTX 400 series graphics cards have emerged from the eNet.co.cn Chinese forums. While both top-end Fermi architecture cards GeForce GTX 470 and GTX 480 remain out of reach for the common man, Nvidia would be introducing new mid-to-high range GTX 465 graphics card as per eNet's report. Even though the Chinese site has pulled down the article, it can still be found in Google's cache pages. ![]() According to the eNet provided table, Nvidia GeForce GTX 465 is going to be yet another Fermi architecture-based 40nm process made GF100 GPU carrying graphics card. With GPU core engine clocked at 607MHz, which is as much as GTX 470, the new GTX 465 will have 352 CUDA Cores or steam processors. Stream processor clock of GTX 465 remains the same as in GTX 470 - 1215MHz. Besides the number of stream processors, another change comes in 1024MB GDDR5 memory clocked 3206MHz using 256-bit memory bus interface. What the site unsure about is the power consumption, board length and the price of this graphics card. The GTX 470 consumes about 215W. The 3DMark Vantage synthetic benchmark at the extreme settings gives the GTX 465 a score of 5,488 which is about 20 percent less than that of GTX 470. Looks like this GTX 465 is Nvidia's way to offer low power consuming graphics card but we hope its performance matches to the mid-high range rival ATI Radeon HD 5830. However, it's too early to comment on performance as the card hasn't officially arrived. We shall wait for official heads-up. Source : Register to see links | ||||||||
