I am thinking about buyin it and want to know if its any good.

Hello;

I personally do not prefer avg, if i buy an antivirus program. My personal opinions for AVG is below

Pros for AVG
* It has a free version
* It's very light. You can have great performance with that
* It's easy to use for beginners

Cons for AVG
* I do not thin it provides a good protection
* I've tried AVG free version for 1 week. I've made full computer scan with that version and I've uninstalled the AVG free version after 1 week and I've installed Kaspersky . I've made a full computer scan with kaspersky too. It has found 5 spy in my computer. This is the biggest CONS for AVG

Result: In my opinion, AVG is not good option, If you are going to buy an antivırus program

* Kaspersky

Thanks for your opion. What would you say is the best software to buy?

I use AVG on my work laptop (pre-installed by the Office IT Support). Until now no problems.

I used to have Kaspersky, but it slowed down my laptop considerably and thus I dreamed of the day I would get rid of it. Luckily, it arrived quicker than I thought

I'll give a 7 because when i scaned it i had a few virus.

I got a new computer and it has Symantec pre-installed. Is that any good?

actually best used for 32bit windows Nod32....Some time AVG Hang My System...

Before I also use AVG and it is one of my most suggested Antivirus. I will rank it 1-10 and 10 is the highest I would say 9. I've been using this Antivirus for almost 3 years and a half and it works fine but I stop using it because it expire and then virus attack my computer and I need to format. Now Im using ESET Nod32 for almost 2 years now and it works good as well.
