Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I have just bought a new mainboard namely asrock N68-S skt AM2/AM3 , which processor would be the best one for me to buy ? Currently I am having amd x2 4800, my system is basically standard onboard gfx/snd 2Gb 800Mhz ram. Just looking for some advice on which processor would be the best to buy, a high speed gaming a faster AMD X2 or a skt AM3 processor ? I am looking to spend about £50 even maybe go to more for the right one . Advices are always appreciable.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | unplug your computer from the power source -disconnect old cpu(the heatsink has a metallic bracket so use a screwdrive but take care to not damage your mobo) -connect new cpu -put between heatsink and cpu some heatconductant paste(i'm not very sure about the name of this paste)Do not use too much! -connect heatsink to mobo by bracket -connect cooler to power

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Depending upon what CPU chip you have installed in the computer determines how much speed the computer will increase. For example, if you just upgrade a 486DX to a 486DX2 you will not notice much speed increase.
